Activism T-shirts: Fashion’s Powerful Weapon Against Inequality
Activism T Shirts Deliver Their Messages
T-shirts may seem like a mundane piece of cloth, but they’re fashion’s most powerful weapon in the battle against inequality. From feminist slogan tees to protest against climate change, artists and designers are using them to deliver their message.
Dan Colen’s venn diagram tees speak to the intersectionality of phallic imperialism, while Tremaine Emory’s “Foraging Queer” design celebrates queer individuals and their undeniable resilience, just as roots intertwine in the forest.
Forest Queer
Queer people are often seen as “other” by society, which can be especially jarring for college freshmen. Finding a supportive community, whether at designated queer spaces on campus or through allies outside of those spaces, is one of the most important things you can do to find your place at Wake Forest. Our Forest Queer design embodies both the fierce pride of the LGBTQIA+ community and their deep connection with nature, symbolizing both the enduring individuality of each person while also the interconnectedness of everyone. Wear this t-shirt as a reminder to live authentically and celebrate diversity.
The t-shirt is 100% cotton and is available in sizes S, M, L, XL, & XXL. It is made in the USA and ships to all 50 states.
Love is Love
In this collection, writers of different styles converge on one subject: the tragedy that occurred on June 12, 2016, when 49 people were killed in Pulse, a gay nightclub in Orlando. Each short story takes up to two pages and requires a lot of heart and fingerspitzengefuhl to pack so much emotion into such small spaces.
A great gift for anyone struggling to cope with the Pulse shooting. It’s also a good reminder that love is love, and we all deserve to be loved.
